  • General fields of application: Tools for forging machines, dies, die inserts, extrusion tools, hot shearing knives and tools for plastics processin
  • Wird nitriert, so sollte die Nitriertiefe nicht zu groß gewählt werden, da sonst die Warmrissbildung zunimmt. Auch in EST- und ESU-Güte lieferbar. Wird genarbt oder poliert, sollte ES 235 W in EST-Güte verwendet werden. Für Hochglanzpolituren sowie fürhöchste Anforderungen an die Zähigkeit empfehlen wir unsere Qualität ES Maximum 500.
  • If nitrided, the nitriding depth should not exceed the specified thickness otherwise internal thermal cracking may occur, reheating the work piece to 200 – 300 °C before commencing work is recommended. Also available in ESR grade. If grained or polished ES 235 W in EST grade should be used. We recommend our ES Maximum 500 steel for highly polished mirrored finishes and for the highest toughness requirements.”
